Tristen is a Nashville-based musician whose distinctive blend of introspective songwriting and infectious hooks has made her a standout voice in indie pop. In 2013, she released CAVES, an album that marked a major shift in her sound, blending synth-pop with her lyrical depth. Partially recorded in Nashville with Jeremy Ferguson, partially in Omaha with Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, M. Ward), and mixed by synth-pop pioneer Stephen Hague (New Order, Pet Shop Boys), CAVES earned widespread acclaim. It was named "Best Local Album of 2013" by Nashville Scene Critic’s Poll and placed in the "Top 50 Albums of 2013" by American Songwriter. SPIN even dubbed Tristen "a synth-pop siren," cementing her place as an innovative artist in the genre.
Since then, Tristen’s knack for crafting captivating melodies and deeply personal lyrics has attracted high-profile collaborations. She co-wrote Love is an Art, the latest album by Vanessa Carlton, and toured with Jenny Lewis as part of her Voyager band. Tristen has also shared the stage with artists like Robyn Hitchcock and Television, earning praise for her live performances and ability to captivate audiences.
