Description
We’re diving straight into the deep end with this one.
Aaron J tests the waters with his hyper-heady take on contemporary techno. A seasoned DJ, he has cultivated his own milieu of lucid, empathic sound through his work as a selector and as curator of the record label, podcast, and event series Sure Thing. He’s no stranger to the Nowadays booth, and we’re hyped to have him back to set the tone for our second Nonstop of the month.
He’s followed by a true star and expert storyteller in London’s Sybil. Her deep, psychedelic techno excursions have earned her a reputation as one of the most capable and unique DJs operating in the genre today.
She’ll stretch out across the peak-time hours before passing the torch to the enigmatic and exhilarating .VRIL. The German artist has become synonymous with loop-driven, pulsating, and powerful techno, which will be on full display as he serves up a rare three-hour live set through sunrise.
Come 7 am, you’re in the hands of Juana. Raised in Chicago, she cut her teeth in DC during the early 2000s, developing an undying penchant for straight-ahead techno alongside deeper, darker shades of first- and second-wave Chicago acid and deep house. Juana has been a resident at the Sequence raves in the capital as well as Unter here in New York, where her reputation for fierce, fun, and full-throttle techno has been solidified. She’s torn the roof off Nowadays before, and we’re expecting no less this time around.
At 10 am, none other than A Guy Called Gerald takes over. This man’s legacy and impact on dance music are hard to overstate. He connected Chicago house and Detroit techno to the rise of British dance music in the late ’80s, wrote the seminal classic “Voodoo Ray,” formed the legendary 808 State, and collaborated with Frankie Knuckles, Goldie, Herbie Hancock, and Lady Kier. He’s remixed David Bowie and laid the blueprint for jungle in the early ’90s. His visionary style, versatility, and open-mindedness have had a profound influence on the development of global dance culture. We’re honored to host this icon for an extended five-hour set through the morning.
Old school meets new school from 3 pm onward as rising star Marie Montexier and Danny Tenaglia take charge for their Nowadays debuts.
The former, founder of the Paryìa label, has earned a reputation for destroying dance floors around the world with her dynamic take on breakbeat, tribal, and tripped-out techno.
The latter is a true New York legend and someone we’ve been trying to include in our programming since day one. A Brooklyn native, Danny started building his record collection in the ’70s, and over the last 50 years, he has become a bona fide hero of electronic music and an untouchable force in club culture. We’re pinching ourselves at the prospect of having him close out this edition of Nonstop.

RSVP is $10 before 11pm and $15 before midnight.
An RSVP is good for one person. If you're bringing friends, please have them RSVP here as well.
We stop taking RSVPs at 6pm on the day of the party. In order to receive the RSVP discount, you must be at the ticket desk by the cutoff time and not just in line. It's wise to arrive early to make sure you're not standing in line when the time comes.
An RSVP does not guarantee entry. Sometimes parties do sell out, so if you want to be sure you'll get in, it's best to grab a ticket in advance.
///
Entry is at the discretion of our door staff. Online purchases are limited to four tickets maximum per person. If tickets are sold out here, we always hold a good amount at the door. We will do our best to admit those without tickets but entrance is not guaranteed.
Nonstop tickets are divided by entry time. You must arrive during the hours listed on your ticket. For example, if you buy a "10PM–4AM" ticket, you must get here between 10pm and 4am.
After you've arrived during your designated time window, you can stay as long as you'd like, so long as you abide by our safer space policy (more on that below). You're also welcome to come and go as you please. Re-entry is based on capacity and is not guaranteed.
