Borth in North Carolina and now based in Detroit, his funky bass lines and driving percussion are rooted in the Black American experience. **Kels** spins her own Detroit-inflected magnetism. UPSTAIRS, **Lefto Early Bird**'s genre-diverse selections — from house to rap to jazz and more — are influenced by years pushing Belguim's musical legacy.
