Für diese Ausgabe der Italorama Bar haben die Slow-Motion-Macher neben den Lokalmatadoren vom Plattenladen Sound Metaphors zwei echte Legenden am Start. Baby's Gang war eine italienische Disco-Pop-Band, die 1983 vom Produzenten Alfredo "Larry" Pignagnoli gegründet wurde. Er schrieb und produzierte für die dreizehn Jugendlichen, zu denen auch die spätere Disco-Queen Spagna und Denise Bonfanti gehörten, einige mega-erfolgreiche Songs wie "Challenger" und "Happy Song" (der zwei Jahre nach seiner Veröffentlichung von Boney M gecovert wurde). Bonfanti singt heute Abend live in der Panorama Bar. Leo Mas war seinerseits an der musikalischen Revolution der 80er Jahre auf Ibiza beteiligt. Zwischen 1985 und 1988 legte er mit dem kürzlich verstorbenen Alfredo im Amnesia auf und prägte auch in den Folgejahren den House- und Balearic-Sound dieser musikalisch immer noch nachhallenden Dekade. In den Jahren 2015-2016 veröffentlichte Music For Dreams die großartige Compilation Leo Mas presents Mediterraneo: Rare Balearica Vol. 1 heraus, die neue Einblicke in den von entspanntem Sex und weichen Drogen geprägten Sound dieser vergangenen Ära gewährt. For this edition of Italorama Bar, the Slow Motion crew have two true legends lined up alongside local heroes from record store Sound Metaphor. For his part, Leo Mas was involved in the musical revolution of the 80s in Ibiza. From 1985 to 1988, he played at Amnesia with the recently deceased Alfredo, continuing to shape the house and Balearic sound of this still resonating decade in the years that followed. In 2015–2016, Music for Dreams put out the excellent compilation Leo Mas presents Mediterraneo: Rare Balearica Vol. 1, giving new insight into the sound of this era, characterized by casual sex and soft drugs.
