Grind is about doing whatever it takes to move forward.” Since 2015, SunSquabi has brought their unique blend of live electronic funk to audiences around the world. Releases like Odyssey [2016], Deluxe EP [2017], and Instinct [2019] have solidified their reputation as a must-see live act, with praise from outlets like 303 Magazine, JamBase, and Live For Live Music. Collaborations with artists like The String Cheese Incident, Late Night Radio, Lettuce, and GRiZ have only expanded their creative horizons. During the Pandemic, SunSquabi focused on writing and recording, turning jam sessions into fully-realized songs. “A lot of tracks started as improvised jams during live streams,” recalls Kevin. “We used that time to craft our ideas and make them come alive in the studio.” Josh adds, “We stayed true to who we are and to each other. We didn’t chase trends; we made music that felt genuine to us. The Grind EP is a testament to that authenticity.” SunSquabi's latest work reflects their journey and resilience.
