On Tuesday, Dec 17th the CAN I KICK IT? monthly movie series is closing out the year at Songbyrd Music House with a holiday-themed screening of the 1987 action film Lethal Weapon. DJ 2-Tone Jones will be providing a mix of hip hop and more to score the film live, scene-by-scene. Doors open at 7p and the film will kick off at 7:30p. Food and drink specials will be available, plus the Shaolin Jazz merch table will be on hand with apparel items and more. About Lethal Weapon Following the death of his wife, Los Angeles police detective Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) becomes reckless and suicidal. When he is reassigned and partnered with Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover), Riggs immediately clashes with the older officer. Together they uncover a massive drug-trafficking ring. As they encounter increasingly dangerous situations, Riggs and Murtaugh begin to form a bond.
