Description
Oneida is an American experimental rock band from Brooklyn, New York, United States. Their influences include psychedelic rock, krautrock, electronic, noise rock, and minimalism, but the overall structure and intent of their music is not taken directly from any of these styles.Common elements found in their music include improvisation, repetition, driving rhythms, antique and analog equipment, and an overall eclecticism.
In the late 1990's, Oneida pioneered a culture of performance in nontraditional spaces throughout Brooklyn, NY, including warehouses, vacant theaters and storefronts, parking lots and garages, boats, and industrial facilities. They are recognized as the progenitors of what would become a thriving and widely influential Brooklyn experimental rock scene. They have also been recognized in gallery and museum culture, performing at the Guggenheim Museum, MoMA PS1, MassMOCA, and the Knovxille Museum of Art, among other fulsomely-endowed institutions.
KINSKI
http://kinski.net/kinski/
Kinski is a four-piece rock band from Seattle, WA. The band follows their instincts to explore pathways from visceral guitar rock, to sonic and heady avant-psych rock, and sparse, atmosphere-bending instrumentals. NME has described Kinski as: “Like Sabbath in a washing machine during a power surge.” Comprised of guitarists Chris Martin and Matthew Reid-Schwartz (Matthew also plays keyboards and flute), bassist Lucy Atkinson, and drummer Barrett Wilke,
Over the years, critics have tried to pin Kinski down to certain genres (the Psych-Rock-Post-Rock-Metal patchwork flag has been planted) but Kinski defy easy categorization, fluctuating between fast, driving rawk, and sweet, lilting melodies…they will melt your brain with their supersonic shredding, but they will give you a hug before you go home.
TERRY GROSS

Few bands are as primed to capture their ecstatic live energy in masterful sonic detail like Terry Gross. Composed of three renowned engineer/producers — Phil Manley, Phil Becker, and Donny Newenhouse — whose studio doubles as their jam spot and communal gathering place, the trio are able to document their longform psychedelic escapades with granular precision. The four mammoth slabs that make up their new album, Huge Improvement, are driving, unrelenting excursions into the unknown. Whether burning white-hot or smoldering in plumes of smoke, the pieces stretch as much inwardly as they do cosmically, embracing every surprising turn. Terry Gross’s Huge Improvement morphs the trio’s search for communal connection and reprieve into a transcendent respite, a burst of focused energy to be enveloped in while facing the senselessness around us with a smile.
