Description
A legend, a hero, an innovator, and the godfather of house, there are simply not enough words to epitomise the monumental impact Frankie Knuckles had on the dance music scene. Nobody did more to spread the gospel of house than Frankie.
Inspired by David Mancuso's legendary private parties at The Loft, Frankie Knuckles became a central figure in New York City's iconic discotheque, Paradise Garage. He was a pioneer in shaping nightlife and LGBTQ+ culture during the late '70s and '80s. Between 1977 and 1982, Frankie Knuckles served as the resident DJ at Chicago's legendary Warehouse, the club where the name "house music" was born.
His legacy and influence in the world of dance music will forever live on.
On January 25th, we commemorate 10 years of Frankie’s passing with a full-venue takeover featuring Eric Kupper, Tedd Patterson, CJ Mackintosh, Paris Cesvette, Marcia Carr, and many more, alongside some very special guests still TBA.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Frankie Knuckles Foundation.
