Formed in the autumn of 2020 in Portland, Oregon by guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Ryan Tippmann and vocalist Tristina Bumgarner, Grimiss combines intricate sonic atmospheres with driving rhythms, searing guitars and sultry yet powerful vocals to create music that is both complex and immersive. Drawing from a wide array of genres and influences both classic and modern, they have managed to craft a unique sound that is distinctly their own, straying from conventional song structures and cliches yet, still maintaining a sense of familiarity and accessibility.
