___EN____DE____ It’s not easy to be a Jew in Berlin these days, or in general, in the world. But you know what? We ain’t new to this. Where there is darkness, we shall be the light switch. There is a Hebrew term “La’asot Same’ach!”, which translates into “making happiness”. This is our role, this is our mission. Karneval de Purim returns, once again, despite and because of it all, to color the night skies of Berlin with love, and to fill the cosy rooms of Renate - probably for the last time - with smiles and sweet escapism. We’re here, and we keep on dancing. 25 DJs, live acts and performers join us on 5 floors with 5 musical styles. From House music in the Green Room to Disco in the Red Room. From Techno in the secret floor (M01) to Psytrance in the Hangout-Nova floor. And of course, as always, the highlight: our “Hafla” floor, bringing you the most danceable Middle-Eastern and Jewish hits that will make shout from joy. ⬤ FAQ 1. Who’s invited? - Every human-loving being, regardless of their background or their ID. 2. Dress code? - Karneval de Purim is a costume party. Please make an effort and wear a costume or a mask. In case you don’t have one, you can get one at the club. 3. Will there be extra security at the event? - Yes, there will be. The event was also registered at the local police. 4. What is not allowed inside the club? - Bags, photography, and all the nasty “isms”, such as racism, antisemitism, sexism and homophobia. 5. Are there also tickets at the box office? - Yes, there are plenty of tickets at the club, yes purchasing tickets on pre-sale helps us plan the event and the staff better. ⬤ Safety Instructions 1. All guests will be thoroughly checked at the entrance. This might take more time than usual, so we ask you for your patience. 2. No bags or backpacks will be allowed inside the club. The maximum size of bag is of a small fanny pack. ⬤ Outfit Selection and Behavior at the Event 1. This event is our refuge. Please refrain from political statements and polarizing messages. Clubs are where we put reality behind us. 2. Any signs of racism, antisemitism, sexism or homophobia will not be tolerated. 3. Please choose your outfit or costume sensible, and refrain from cultural stereotypical portrayals of minority groups. ⬤ Information about Security at the Event 1. The Berliner police will secure the event outside the club. 2. In addition to the club’s security team, we will have additional security securing the queue. 3. Further security personnel will meet you inside and make sure that no bags will make their way into the club’s room, and that no antisemitic provocation will occur. Bitte bemüht euch und tragt ein Kostüm oder eine Maske. Falls ihr keins habt, könnt ihr euch im Club eins besorgen. 3. Wird es auf der Veranstaltung zusätzliche Sicherheitskräfte geben? - Ja, es wird sie geben. Die Veranstaltung wurde auch bei der örtlichen Polizei angemeldet. 4. Was ist im Club nicht erlaubt? - Taschen, Fotografieren und alle bösen „ismus“ wie Rassismus, Antisemitismus, Sexismus und Homophobie. 5. Gibt es auch Tickets an der Abendkasse? - Ja, es gibt jede Menge Tickets im Club. Der Kauf von Tickets im Vorverkauf hilft uns, die Veranstaltung und das Personal besser zu planen. ⬤ Sicherheitshinweise 1. Alle Gäste werden am Eingang gründlich kontrolliert. Dies kann mehr Zeit als üblich in Anspruch nehmen, daher bitten wir dich um Geduld. 2. Taschen und Rucksäcke dürfen nicht in den Club mitgenommen werden. Die maximale Größe einer Tasche ist eine kleine Gürteltasche. ⬤ Outfitwahl und Verhalten auf der Veranstaltung 1. Diese Veranstaltung ist unser Refugium. Bitte verzichte auf politische Statements und polarisierende Botschaften. Clubs sind der Ort, an dem wir die Realität hinter uns lassen. 2. Jegliche Anzeichen von Rassismus, Antisemitismus, Sexismus oder Homophobie werden nicht geduldet. 3. Bitte wähle dein Outfit oder Kostüm mit Bedacht und unterlasse die kulturelle Streoptypisierung von Minderheitengruppen. ⬤ Informationen zur Sicherheit auf der Veranstaltung 1. Die Berliner Polizei wird die Veranstaltung außerhalb des Clubs sichern. 2. Neben dem Sicherheitsteam des Clubs werden wir zusätzliche Sicherheitskräfte einsetzen, die die Warteschlange sichern. 3. Weitere Sicherheitskräfte werden dich drinnen empfangen und dafür sorgen, dass keine Taschen in den Clubraum gelangen und keine antisemitischen Provokationen stattfinden.
