Description
The Chapel is partnering with Rad Mission Neighbors for this event to help distribute gently used coats and warm clothing items to the unhoused this winter. For the last five years Rad Mission Neighbors have helped make clean clothes accessible in The Mission by providing free laundry services once a month to the unhoused, sex workers and anyone in need.
Please bring your gently used coats, warm clothing, sleeping bags and tents in exchange for tickets to enter into our raffle, tickets are also available for purchase in advance from our box office, and on the night of the event, with proceeds from the raffle going towards Rad Mission Neighbors.
Cindy is a part of the San Francisco/Bay Area dream pop lo-fi scene. Led by Karina Gill, members of the band are Will Smith of Now, Staizsh Rodrigues of Children Maybe Later and Oli Lipton of Now and Violent Change. The songs are hazy and nostalgic pop-craft with lyrical backbone.
Chime School conjures a unique and instantly recognizable form of indie pop, marrying the pristine jangle of electric 12-string guitars with nervy, hooky songs. Fresh off a UK and France tour in support of their acclaimed sophomore LP “The Boy Who Ran The Paisley Hotel” (Slumberland Records) Chime School are one of the Bay Areas most exciting pop combos!
Violent Change San Francisco mainstays, headed up by Matt Bleyle, the force behind Sloth Mate, and completed by a rotating cast of other scene notables.
Black Thumb is Colin Wilde. Sometimes quiet, sometimes loud. Outsider guitar and organ driven music. Inspired by bands like Spacemen 3 and the Stooges.
Tony Jay Channeling a bedroom pop sentiment meets snarling '60s girl group melodies (it’s more Joey Ramone than Mary Weiss), the songs are catchy and delivered in a playful, yet cynical, tone.
Raffle prize donors include: Roxie, Craftsman and Wolves, ABV, City Lights, Grand Coffee, Good Good Culture Club, The Laundromat, Green Apple Books, Bi-Rite Family of Businesses, (((folkYEAH!))), Curio, The Chapel & more!
