VINYL New Year's Eve with Josh Wink and support by DEV! Josh Wink Philadelphia born and based Josh Wink is one of the true pioneers of techno, house and allied styles - blurring the definitions. Taking trends, making trends and breaking trends, Josh Wink’s music has always experimented and influenced. The sound of Josh Wink today remains one of a man unafraid to walk the border between stylistic boundaries. His remix discography of over 25 years includes seminal artists such as Radiohead, Moby, Sting, Depeche Mode, Radioslave and Dave Clarke, to name a few. Wink also runs his own label, Ovum Recordings, which is in its 28th year of existence. DEV DEV is a Philadelphia based Event Promoter, DJ, & Producer inspired by deep, minimal, jazz, and hip-hop based sounds. With close to a decade in event coordination, promotions, and nightlife experience for numerous performance venues on the east coast, DEV's somewhat 'mysterious' entrance into the underground house music industry was inevitable, but obvious for many reasons. DEV's upbringing in New Jersey designated him to be able to explore a city rich in music and community, Philadelphia (USA), which allowed him to build a reputation for being one of the city's most approachable nightlife contacts, being able to cater to not only the mainstream community, but also the underground. His versatility is seen in his extensive resume of venues, from HQ2 Beachclub & Nightclub, Glu Hospitality's Vesper Dayclub & Nightclub, and presently, Unlocked Presents' The Ave Live & Vinyl. DEV's authentic ability to understand key players in the industry, leverage his experience to push trends, connect people, and execute large-scale events is unmatched, and his taste/talent in music is just the "cherry-on-top". DEV's love for house music began as a child, inspired by his mother's taste in jazz, swing, lite rock, and Bollywood music, but it didn't stop there. He learned reading/writing music at a young age playing the trumpet and saxophone for his school band. Over many years later, attending raves in Philadelphia, attending a plethora of EDM festivals, and being introduced to the sound of the underground in 2015, where he attended Electric Island Festival in Toronto (CAN), exposed to headliners, Lee Foss, Seth Troxler, and The Martinez Brothers, his return to preach the underground was inevitable. In 2016, DEV began as the resident DJ for his fraternity, selecting tunes in the house basement, playing music of all genres. He is now seen playing shows all around the tri-state, and has supported global names, Lee Foss, Mau P, Matt Sassari, Ky William, & Maxinne moving the crowd with his deep, minimal grooves inspired by hip-hop, disco, and jazz. DEV is also seen alongside Producer Sean Sauder, aka Redline District in their energetic duo, Medium Rare that has supported global names, Kyle Walker, Malaa, & Matroda and was on the lineup for Washington, DC's Project Glow Festival in 2022, where they fuse light, and dark grooves.
