Description
Party Animals returns to 233 for a 10-hour New Year's Eve kick-off.
**DJ Holographic** is a self-declared "one-woman funk machine born and raised in Detroit." Her status as an undeniable rhythm starter has carried her Motown-infused house, techno, and disco to dancefloors around the world, including Smart Bar, Panorama Bar, Movement, Output, and far beyond. She represents the next generation of Black Detroit producers, maintaining a sound that is deep-rooted yet consistently fresh and innovative. Joining her is another rising star, **Sinéad**, whose 2024 residency has revealed an incessant library of forgotten tracks acquired through years of crate-digging and a natural ear for the textured, hypnotic, and driving. Her wide-ranging eclecticism is tied together through warm, sensual undertones, much akin to PR's own **e-Lite**, a recent addition to lineups for The Carry Nation and Mizz Softee.
**Ben UFO** and **CCL** are two of the most talked-about artists right now. Both resist genre classification yet hold the dancefloor in unison through a certain and watertight creativity. Ben, co-founder of Hessle Audio alongside Pangaea and Pearson Sound, combines elements of the UK underground: bubbly house, percussive techno, silky jungle, and contemporary dubstep. CCL follows suit, but with their own leftfield tricks and inclusions that, if not for their razor-sharp technical abilities, would be considered radically risky for any DJ. CCL's ability to marry tracks between decades and genres and weave them into their own web of colorful, tripped-out sonoriety is truly unmatched. **Lis Dalton** returns to PR hot off appearances at Detroit's Return To The Source and Montreal's Homegrown. Their taste leans toward the raunchy, devilish, and hedonistic, befittingly.
UPSTAIRS, both of our selectors take a big-picture approach to electronic music. Our special guest is an NTS resident and has been sharing a carefully-curated narrative of atmospheric jazz, reggae, psych, and guitar jams globally for years. Joining her is a PR regular — and justifiably so — Lot Radio resident, and co-founder of Soul Connection, **Lovie**. She has been swiftly ushered into New York's local music scene through her warm soul, disco, and house assemblage.
