Description
Grizfolk combine pop, folk, and electronics into a global sound all their own. A collaboration between a pair of Swedish producers and an American singer/songwriter, the group's songs merge the polish of contemporary pop and dance music with the more organic, acoustic-tinged sound of modern-day indie folk. Their music is described as a casually-indefinable, artistic paradise of its own, built upon a bedrock of lush electronic tones and analog textures, stomp-and-clap guitars and heart-swelling vocals.
Beginning his career in 2008, Tyler wrote and performed with the South Carolina rock band, I Anthem. The band had multiple songs break the Top 10 on Billboard's Rock Charts before Edwards launched his solo career and relocated to Seattle, Washington in 2015. While there, Tyler cultivated his reputation as a hardworking musician and genuine songwriter. His songs convey a stealth-like view of the world in his moody melodies, breaching sensitive singer/songwriter fare with a reliable rock stance that recalls Jason Isbell and Ryan Adams in its unassuming honesty.
Ruby Lee Hill's music is a tribute to the feminine experience, Ruby's songs share rich, evocative stories of love and loss, interwoven with the classic honky tonk themes of infidelity, misogyny, and vulnerability.
