Description
Indie songwriter Hazlett was born and raised in Australia but if the past few years are anything to go by, he’s very much bloomed in Sweden. An old friend, one big break-up and playing Oasis’ “Wonderwall” in pubs three nights a week was the unplanned cocktail of moments that saw him throw adulthood to the wayside and venture to the other side of the world. While he was up in Sweden Hazlett’s unique brand of “Indie Ballroom Folk” really came to life after spending time with his close friend and now collaborator Freddy Alexander. A lot has changed since then and what started as just writing songs to “figure out some things in his head…” has now become a whole world of music and beautiful detail to move through. Even though the nerves never quite go away, there’s this newfound quiet confidence to the troubadour from the land down under. You may not have met, but sometimes when you’re listening to Hazlett he feels like the only friend you’ve ever had.
Abby Powledge is a Nashville based, 20 year old singer-songwriter from Texas. Abby had her first breakout moment in May of 2024 when her song "spoiling me" found the ears of millions on TikTok and captivated listeners with her gentle, poignant songwriting. Her follow up single, “the way that i am,” marked a true watershed moment for Abby, going viral online with over 80k+ creates, tens of millions of views across media channels, and now over 3M+ streams. The song received praise from a variety of tastemakers and artists, including John Mayer who introduced the song on his LIFE Channel on SiriusXM by saying "when I heard it, I was reminded about how great a song can be when it's played on just an acoustic guitar with a voice".
Her latest releases “to be held” and “forgive” have continued to outline this new era for Abby, turning new listeners into true fans. With her debut EP on the horizon and a slew of upcoming tour dates, Abby’s momentum has no sign of slowing and she is poised for a breakout 2025.
