Flooding is a gut feeling. Fronted by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Rose Brown, Flooding is a 3-piece band that explores genres like slow core, noise rock, post-hardcore, and post-punk. Brown is supported by bassist Cole Billings and drummer Zach Cunningham, who share the songwriting goal of curating abstract elements of different music styles to create a distinct composition with each album and song, rather than fitting into a particular genre.
Sprouting out of gnarled devotion and sweaty spontaneity, Interlay have been marking a boisterous and pronounced presence amidst the gritty basements, clubs and skateparks of the Midwest. Starting in Madison, WI and currently based in Chicago, Interlay has corroded and rebuilt with shifting line ups throughout the years. Formed and fronted by Alexandria Ortgiesen (vox + guitar) whose raw style has become a natural constant of the band. The current line up, now consisting of Sam Eklund (guitar), Kayla Chung (bass) and Henry Ptack (drums), has found strength and depth within each member, taking and personifying their sounds with precision and brash post-punk spirit.
Inkjet is a new Chicago post-printer band that everyone is talking about and you should be very excited to see. The band is inspired by acts like Sleater-Kinney, Swirlies, and Vanessa Carlton.
Presented by Sleeping Village.
