It’s finally here! After building anticipation with buzzing singles and stirring up excitement throughout the culture, rapidly rising Kansas City hip-hop disruptor SleazyWorld Go unveils his anxiously awaited debut album, More Than A Shooter, today. RIAA Diamond-certified powerhouse Turbo notably helmed this body of work as Executive Producer, giving it an unparalleled level of cohesion in the process.
The duo spent a week together in Sleazy’s home studio in Kansas City—where many of his original hits were born. Sleazy brought Turbo into his creative space, fostering an authentic connection that led to the creation of 10-12 new songs in just a few days. Audiences will immediately recognize his “Run That Back Turbo” tag-line in each song’s opening verse. Their bond, both as artists and men, helped craft what they call “the greatest story never told. Sleazy sought to elevate the production, while Turbo added an avant-garde touch, shaping the album’s sound into the masterpiece it became.
To celebrate the record’s arrival, SleazyWorld Go just shared the cinematic music video for the latest single “Ole Ole” shot in his hometown Kansas City, MO. Solely produced by Turbo, they pulled in a local Kansas City Choir to add depth to the record encompassing so many heartfelt moments including Sleazy’s new born daughter being present in the studio during the recording.
A victorious chant accents the track’s percussive forward motion as he reflects on his life, “I shoulda changed, I coulda changed, but I’m still the same though." In a moment of gratitude, his voice rings out, “Thank God for the lessons. Thank God for the losses. This introspection allows him to lyrically open up more than ever before. Directed by Nick Mays, the accompanying visual offers a window into the Kansas City neighborhood he calls home. He raps outside surrounded by friends, neighbors, and children as the camera ominously surveys the streets and his world.
Elsewhere on More Than A Shooter, he leans into island flavors on the breezy and bright “Turks & Caicos.” Acoustic guitar wraps around a sultry beat as he issues an invitation “Have you ever been to Turks & Caicos?” Then, there’s “Trying To Heal.” Tense hi-hats skitter as he sheds his scars over the beat. He reassures multiple times, “I’m almost healed from the pain and the trauma I’ve been through. ” The project truly illuminates his growth as a lyricist, rapper, and songwriter.

The single followed the momentum of “Who The Who’s” which has been gaining steam at DSPs and earned critical acclaim. HotNewHipHop applauded it as “high-octane,” going on to promise, “It sets the tone for the rest of the anxiously awaitedproject and serves as a promising preview."
Igniting 2024, he notably kickstarted this sonic era with “WTW.” Beyond looks from HITS Daily Double, XXL, and more, HotNewHipHop proclaimed, “If this what the tape is going to sound like, we are all ears.” Meanwhile, he spent the spring on the road, opening up Offset’s “Set It Off” Tour.
It all paves the way for SleazyWorld Go to deliver his biggest and boldest statement to date with his debut album, More Than A Shooter this fall.
Breakout rapper SleazyWorld Go has earned a series of accolades. Last year, he was selected as a 2023 XXL Freshman; the first artist to represent both Kansas City, MO, and Grand Rapids, MI, on the prestigious magazine cover. Since then, he made an appearance at the 2023 BET Awards, released the anthemic “Don’t Get Your Feelings In It” featuring fellow XXL Freshman Luh Tyler, and has been in the studio working on his forthcoming debut album.
SleazyWorld Go’s hot streak began in 2019, following a personal transformation behind
bars. The artist whose mom moved his family from Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Kansas City, Missouri, searching for a better life, wanted to move in a positive direction. Music was his method. In 2022 he took off, with “Sleazy Flow” introducing him to the masses (the song is 2x RIAA Certified Platinum), and leading to a remix featuring Lil Baby and a debut mixtape Where The Shooters Be that featured hip hop heavyweights Lil Baby, Offset, G Herbo, and more. In 2023, he expanded on WTSB with Where The Shooters Be 2, dropped “Off The Court” featuring Polo G, was announced by Spotify as an Artist T o Watch in 2023, and iHeartRadio announced him as nominee for Best New Hip Hop Artist. With raw talent and proven superstar potential, it’s clear that in 2024 and beyond SleazyWorld Go’s list of accolades will only continue to grow.
