Adrian West Trio **Adrian West Trio** is the “intimate” version of the Adrian West Band, an Oakland-based acoustic rock ensemble that describes itself as "Paul Simon meets Talking Heads". We play a fun mix of acoustic rock originals, covers and instrumentals featuring Amy Obenski on vocal harmonies and percussion, Adrian West on acoustic guitar, electric violin & live looping, and Jonny Kaminek on upright bass. Adrian likes his songs to stand on their own musically, independent of the lyrics, but whether he’s telling a story or commenting on some challenge facing humanity, his lyrics are fueled by equal parts hope, clear-eyed realism and lighthearted whimsy.
