Description
Indie-pop quintet Soft Launch have today announced their debut headline Australian show at Sydney’s The Lansdowne Hotel, Thursday 5 December with special guests Mac The Knife and Bean Magazine.
Soft Launch head to Sydney after packing out headline shows without any publicly released music, including selling out London’s The Grace within an hour. Taste-making publications like Dork and DIY Mag have heavily championed the band, coining them one of the most exciting bands on the scene right now. They’ll also be joining Two Door Cinema Club & Declan McKenna as support on the co-headline tour of Australia kicking off in December. There’s an undeniable buzz about Soft Launch that can’t be ignored.
Tickets are on sale now. For all tickets and show information, visit secretsounds.com or softlaunchmusic.com.
Supporting this one-night-only event are locals Mac The Knife, born out of the fiery depths of a sweaty Sydney garage - a five membered rock n’ roll Hydra, each terrifying head ready to roar songs of catharsis and carnage, written for the people, by the people. Mac have built a name for themselves in the Sydney music scene as one of the most enthralling live acts around town, leading Backyard Opera to name them “a hidden gem of the Australian music scene”. Their searing debut E.P ‘Silvertongue’ secured them support slots for such names as Polish Club, Johnny Hunter and Eliza and the Delusionals.
Also on the line-up is fellow Australian indie group Bean Magazine, a trio that effortlessly blend punk energy, sensitive lyrical sensibilities and classic rock riffs to create songs that will never leave your head. This year, they released their debut LP ‘In The Shade’, produced by Ball Park Music’s Sam Cromack, which signifies a leap forward in both song writing ability and production value. Their new works float between touching song writing, anthemic ballads and balls to the wall heavy goodness.
This night will be a showcase of infections, fresh talent you don’t want to miss. Get your tickets today.
