A key figure in Japan's electronic music scene with deep roots in Tokyo's footwork scene, **Foodman** is perhaps best known for his live sets and juke experimentalism. As a producer, his productions err on the side of off-kilter playfulness and un-categorizable technicolor. As a DJ, his aggregate take on house, techno, and the sounds of the Japanese underground pushes the boundaries of dance music, incorporating glitchy, chopped-up beats; unconventional samples; and inventive melodies, presenting a distinctive sonic palette.
