Description
Sobredosis de Soda at Fulton 55
Formed in 2005, Sobredosis de Soda was born in Buenos Aires as a tribute and celebration to the music of Soda Stereo. Over the years, the band has developed an identical visual and sound reproduction that faithfully represents the image that Soda Stereo has marked throughout its career.
A commemorative show with a modern staging: a journey through time that recreates the songs that marked several generations. An invitation to get excited and sing together remembering the most important group in the history of Latin American rock.
“The group's proposal is that the show be a celebration and a (nostalgic) memory, to create an intimate atmosphere: we are three musicians who are fans of Soda paying homage to their idols. We are not looking to replace anyone, or take their place.”
Mariano Albergoli, (Sobredosis de Soda)
Renowned rock figures have accompanied Sobredosis over the years as guests: Marcelo Moura and Daniel Sbarra (Virus), Leo Garcia (Soda Stereo, Avant Press), Fabián Von Quintiero (Soda Stereo, Charly Garcia, Ratones Paranoicos), Javier Herrlein (Catupecu Machu), Gonzalo Aloras (Fito Paez), Fernando Scarcella (Rata Blanca).
“They are perfect. Musically, what they do, together with the costumes, the look, Mariano’s voice and his guitar playing… the brilliant role that Sobredosis plays, with incredible respect, is to allow a lot of generations who were not able to see Soda… to see Soda”
Marcelo Moura (Virus)
The band has toured Latin America and Europe, taking their shows to different cities in Argentina, Mexico, Honduras, Ecuador, Chile, Paraguay, Bolivia, Uruguay, Peru, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Spain; where they were received with an excellent response and approval from the public.
“What I see from people is a reaction of extreme joy, of smiles, of a lot of nostalgia, a lot of happiness, a lot of sadness, a lot of anguish for Gustavo… it is like a festival of sensations.”
Javier Herrlein (Ex Catupecu Machu).
