Soviet Underground Soviet Underground is a collective dedicated to the Soviet era underground music scene, centered around the music of influential Red Wave bands active during the Perestroyka period. The project aims to bring a feel and a glimpse of that sound to the western music-lovers across London and beyond. The project explores how from illegal gatherings these bands have sold out stadiums and became national heroes, whilst capturing the hearts of the nonconformist Soviet generation. The music, presented by Soviet Underground, takes the listener on a historic journey across the block with covers of iconic and cult numbers.
