Anfisa Letyago in collaboration with the 3D artist Guisy Amoroso aka Marigoldff, presents "Partenope". This AV experience is based on an ancient Greek myth where a mermaid was discovered off the coast of Naples; Letyago has been fully transformed into the mermaid via 3D scan to create a fully underwater, ethereal parallel dimension. Letyago grew up surrounded by water – apt for a pisces, and now lives facing the seafront on the Italian coast. That love of art and the sea was integral to her new audiovisual live show. Speaking on Partenope, Anfisa explains: “The history of my city has always captivated me. I named my label NSDA after Nisida, an island near Naples. While seeking new inspirations some time ago, I came across the tale of ‘Partenope,’ a Greek myth about a mermaid who arrived and perished on the coast of Naples, subsequently becoming the symbol of the city. The concept of a woman embodying something as meaningful as Naples enchanted me. This story resonated with me deeply, and I felt compelled to weave it into my artistic journey.” Fuelled by her uncontainable energy behind the decks and a growing catalogue of groove-laden house and techno, Anfisa is undoubtedly one of the fiercest talents in the European techno scene.
