There are some places and moments that tie people together forever, whether it be a place, a song or something you can't quite define through words. The origins of Orions Belte stemmed from one of those mystical moments in time, which spawned a lasting creative connection. The first time all three members Øyvind, Chris and Kim met up to work on ideas they ended up recording their entire first album over a weekend together.
Orions Belte uses the band as a platform to explore different aspects of what an instrumental band can be resulting in everything from separate solo albums, live recordings from digital streams in the Norwegian nature, EPs containing eccentric covers to studio albums that create soundscapes that pull you in and draw out emotions in ways that only they know how.
Their strong connection inspires them to write music that feels natural and authentic, focusing on strong melodies and grooves resonating with their worldwide fanbase.
Described by Atwood Magazine as "an eclectic fusion of disparate styles and exciting sounds that says what it wants to say through memorable melodies, ambient drones, and a stockpile of wicked guitar riffs."
Once an English tutor for kids in San Francisco's Chinatown, Alex Siegel embarked on a music career as if by accident or fate; in 2018 his unique songs started gaining traction in the bedroom pop underground of Youtube and Soundcloud, and went on to gain millions of streams and draw fans around the world. Alex is intimately involved with the creation of his music, writing and recording all the parts himself. His songs are featured in TV shows and movies, and he also composes original music for commercials and film. As a session musician he has toured nationally with acts supporting My Morning Jacket, Poolside, The Marias and Electric Guest, and performing at venues such as Walt Disney Concert Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, The Fillmore, Outside Lands and more. He occasionally sits in on keys with Vieux Farka Touré and frequently writes and records with artists and songwriters at his studio in Los Angeles. Alex's 2022 album "Courage" was released on CD in Japan and featured at Tower Records in Shibuya, Tokyo.
