On this residency night, Brooklyn-house connoisseurs MUSCLECARS team up with the legendary Kuniyuki Takahashi for a night of music from the heart. With roots in Japanese pop and new wave, Kuniyuki’s approach towards production started as a sound engineer. His releases on Mule Musiq feature remixes by innovators such as Larry Heard and DJ Sprinkles, as well as collaborations with Anne Clark. Kuniyuki’s musical oeuvre and aliases cite African jazz, classical music, and EBM as influences, highlighting the power of sound when instrumental foundations meet synthetic styles. /// RSVP is $10 before 11pm and $15 before midnight.
