Released on July 19th with Tomb Tree Records, DTI returns after five years in even more bombastic fashion with a total realization of their uncompromising sound. Sonagi Sonagi is the romanization of the Korean word 소나기 which means “sudden rain showers.” Sonagi’s songs hit like a typhoon, drenching the listener in melody and dissonance. Guitarist/vocalist Harim Jung and lead vocalist Ryann Slauson met forging a friendship through involvement in DIY, forming Sonagi with drummer Keean Mansour, and completing the lineup in 2022 with guitarist Eric Mauro and bassist Jin Woo Lee. Sonagi’s Everything Is Longing is due through Jeremy Bolm’s (Touché Amoré) Secret Voice label; a collection of songs concerning desire, jealousy, lack, and shame, focusing on multiple dimensions of grief, loss, and the “impossible task” of trying to heal without logic or closure, while also examining what it means to be a trans person, the experience of what you were before, what and who you have known yourself to be, what and who you wish you were, and how it becomes true and real. Elucid C Finder Formed in 2017 by one man with a guitar, a drum machine, and a head full of panic chords, Baltimore’s Euclid C Finder! has blossomed into a four piece assault of odd rhythms, sass, and blistering speed. Five years of adaptive change have culminated in “The Mirror, My Weapon, I Love You.” the long-awaited debut LP recorded at the legendary GodCity Studio by engineer Zach Weeks (Cerce, The Armed). Respirator Respirator is a chaotic metalcore band from the sewers of New York, known for intense live performances and heavy use of noise and samples.
