Description
Resident **Ge-ology** takes the helm once again with an open-to-close set in The Sound Room. A self-taught vinylist with an all-embracing approach to music, Ge-ology finds unpredictable commonalities between psychedelic rock, dub and boogie that work into his dancefloor strategy just as well as a 4-on-the-floor dance record. Highlighted in a recent feature for Resident Advisor's The Art of DJing, Ge-ology is a true vinyl maestro, learning the physicalities of record players as a kid, collecting early Chicago house and Detroit techno ahead of their time, and following artist's intuition to move the room, even if it means playing the record backward.
**Toribio** keeps it soulful and vibrant all night in The Atrium. His BDA \[Bring Dat Ass\] parties combine the energy of his Dominican upbringing with the funky side of house music. Highly musical tracks reflect his lifelong musical background in percussion, education and practice in jazz, and projects as a vocalist; they also have the ability to uniquely ooze rhythm and heart.
NY-native **Sunny Cheeba**, co-operator of Uptown Vinyl Supreme, a DJ collective dedicated to vinyl records and their playing of, tunes into her Bronx upbringing with a natural mix of soul, funk, disco, hip-hop, R&B, salsa, reggae, afro-beat, and baile funk.
