Dutch band Iguana Death Cult will release their sophomore studio album Echo Palace through Innovative Leisure. The album was recorded at PAF Studio in Rotterdam, and had the self-produced album subsequently mixed by Joo-Joo Ashworth (Sasami, Dummy) at Studio 22 in Los Angeles and mastered by Dave Cooley (Tame Impala, Yves Tumor).
In 2017 Iguana Death Cult self-released their debut LP The First Stirrings Of Hideous Insect Life. The Rotterdam based band initially made their mark with giddy, hard-hitting garage punk and a miasma of acid-drenched psychedelics. The band’s second album Nude Casino (2019) held aloft a more cerebral and absurdist side of their songwriting. Echo Palace is an appropriately worldly album from a group breaking past the confines of its home country. It’s a very interesting mixture of indie, post-punk and avant-funk.
