Equally adept at playing intimate duo & trio sessions as he is at playing larger festival stages, Jimmy Grant has established himself in the west-coast acoustic jazz scene. He has performed with many folks including David Grisman, Ludovic Beier (accordion), Tim Kliphuis (violin), Eva Slongo (violin), Paulus Schäfer (guitar), Trio Dinicu, and the Hot Club of San Francisco. Jimmy Grant grew up with bluegrass, folk, celtic and classical and soon gravitated towards the music of Django Reinhardt, studying with acclaimed jazz guitarists Jim Nichols and Howard Alden. https://www.youtube.com/@JimmyGrantMusic
At age ten, Sam Farthing picked up the guitar and soon after started playing the music of his favorite guitarist, Django Reinhardt. Now twenty-one years old, he is a skilled guitarist and songwriter from Baltimore, specializing in jazz manouche and gypsy music. Sam has graced the stages around the world at festivals like the Festival Django Reinhardt (France), Django sur Lennon (Ireland), Charm City Django Jazz Fest (Baltimore), Djangofest Northwest (Whidbey Island, WA), and Django a Gogo (multiple US locations). www.samfarthingmusic.com
Playing in the Portland-area since 2019, the Lone Fir Hot Club takes inspiration from the current Jazz Manouche scenes on both sides of the Atlantic and dabbles in the music of 1940’s American swing-to-bop era. www.lonefirhotclub.com
