You've had this feeling that something isn't quire right but you can't put your finger on it. Every night club experience you have seems like a perpetual ground hog day. The same tired DJ centric culture. The same genre's, the same feeling of disconnect. Why do promoters play it safe? Why does no one try out new ideas and new concepts? Much like the narcissistic and self absorbed gen-z culture we have all collectively agreed that staring at a DJ pressing play on a CD player is the height of culture. Heaven forbid you might use your eyes and ears directly. Its much better to film the DJ on your smart phone so at least others know you've experienced it. If no one see your video it probably didn't happen. Radio1 DJ's and the club scene is bonkers... I hope Tayler Swift and Pete Tong read this event write up and retire immediately. The answer is probably down to money or peer pressure or a lack of imagination. You'll be glad to know that fake[dac~} is actually here to give you something you've been craving. Something new... something different... culture... art... something tangible and real. That feeling when you discover a new genre you've never heard before. fake[dac~] has been heavily involved with the algorave and audio visual scenes to the point where people expect fake[dac~] to be a highly curated algorave.That is your first mistake.. to try and pin down and second guess the fake[dac~] crew and its eminent leader monz (m-onz). fake[dac~] has no share holders / profit hungry music industry types behind it. Monz does this because he can and no-one else is doing anything remotely interesting in the music / av / visuals scenes. Ok so there has been some interesting movement in the algorave,AV & emom scenes but it feels cliquey or like an elaborate open mic for gear freaks that have most of their gadgets switched off and make self indulgent bleep bloop music that only they really enjoy or appreciate. fake[dac~] will be booking * human * performers and adding to the scene using are previous format in future but for our next few events we want to try out a new concept, ruffle a few feathers and make people think about an A.I dominated future. In this not too distant future where no-one has privacy and we connect our brains directly to machines so we can have adverts directly splurged into our braincells <- enjoy real life while you can. This scary world where humans have destroyed the worlds resources and given away all humanity and decency in order to feed ever hungrier machines and A.I is really not that far away. fake[dac~] does not condone the extensive use of A.I without guard rails but to make us all stand up and think about the recent changes where A.I is side-stepping copyright and re-regurgitating human culture in high fidelity making artists and musicians redundant. This is happening NOW... not in some remote distant future. To prove it and for the first time ever a night club will have a fully curated immersive audio visual generative A.I over two rooms with 6 or more projectors & LED installations - at the world renowned Corsica Studios. On the theme of dystopia, a.i. surveillance and privacy (or the lack of it), deep fakes and unaccountable systems, institutions and algorithms. This will be a ground breaking mixture of club music in recognizable genre's like drum and bass from high fidelity copy right infringing A.I platforms, sophisticated sounds using never before seen methods and painstakingly generated visuals from the fake[dac~] crew. Hundreds of hours and thousands of pounds worth of GPU cycles, re-processing and number crunching to bring you a fully immersive experience across two rooms like no other. Demand more from culture... not tired boring old paradigms and conventions. There will be no human performers or narcissistic focal points. Focus on your friends and each other and don't worry about hurting the performers feelings if you walk away when your not feeling it. This is high art & culture that does not hide in ivory towers, poignant thought provoking art that is not in a stuffy elitist gallery. Its entertaining, un pretentious and meets you where you are... in the club. As entertaining and shocking as it is interesting. We are not saying that we believe A.I is the future or we condone its use. We are asking people to wake up and take back control of human creativity from machines before its too late.
