PolyRhythm - Tortuga PolyRhythm is a producer/DJ duo consisting of David Menendez and Val Carrique. The duo started their musical journey at 14 years old by DJing local parties and learning the craft of music selection. Their musical influences were sharpened by growing up in a Latin culture where drums and rhythms were prevalent. The New Jersey based duo mostly played mainstream, Hip Hop and Salsa until discovering New York's vibrant underground club scene at the age of 18, where they immediately fell in love with House Music. This discovery led them to create an event by the name of "PolyRhythm" which allowed them to explore many rhythms and sounds throughout New York City. The name stuck and they became known as the "PolyRhythm boys" by their supporters. Their varied musical influences naturally led to their progression as music producers with countless releases over the years. Currently they are now embarking upon a new adventure, their own signature label, PolyRhythm Music. Steve Howerton - Ocha Records / Dance Circle Producer and DJ is a rising star on the East Coast. Steve goes through a range of deep + soulful house. His productions + collaborations have help put Charlotte on the map. Steve has developed his own niche; an innate ability to bring the dancers together on a rhythmic journey. Oba Shaanti - Orbit / Gravitate O rbit's co-founder and rising DJ in Charlotte House ad Jazz Scene. Oba has been contributing to Charlotte's music scene for more than a decade. When he's not curating or DJing underground dance evets. Oba has become a staple at some of Charlotte's best rooftop lounges + dinner lounges. With an ear for eclectic sounds and world music Oba has created his own lane within a robust music community. What to Expect: Doors open at 9pm enjoy the best deep dirty , tribal, and eclectic sounds in house, soul, afro, latin rhythms + more until early am. Food and alcoholic beverages will be available until 1am. There is limited free parking and we encourage guests to carpool. Tickets are general admission.
