**Madison Hughes and SJ McDonald with special guest Jayna Jennings live at Eddie's Attic!**
*SJ McDonald*
SJ McDonald is an Appalachian cowgirl that fuses the nostalgia of 90s country and the grit of a modern songwriter. While being raised on a 5-generation cattle & turkey farm in the hills of Virginia, SJ found her work ethic, and love for country music. She moved to Nashville at 18, where she cut her teeth playing covers in the bars on Broadway, and recently signed a publishing deal with Major Bob Music, home to artists such as Garth Brooks, Zach Top, and now SJ McDonald. SJ is currently the CMT Next Up Now Artist, where her newest song and music video “Break a Cowboy” has been airing on the CMT Music channel across the country.
*Madison Hughes*
Today’s new music cries for standout voices unique enough to stamp their fingerprints on the era. To anyone following Florida native Madison Hughes’ (The Voice—Team Blake) fast rising career, it’s her signature sultry, smoky tone that drew you in. Millions of fans have connected with her voice that “grabs ya by the soul” and “feels like home.” Inspired by 70s folk-rock and soul, Madison’s unique storytelling voice is that of an old soul. Her original music captured Billboard Magazine’s attention: “The immensely talented Hughes is on a star-making trajectory.” Rolling out singles all summer long, Madison’s debut album will release end of this year!
*Jayna Jennings*
Online distributers and social media make it easy to release music essentially from an iPhone, and seeking success in the music industry is not an uncommon dream. As singles become a driving force, Jayna Jennings took a risk and released a full length, completely immersive, visual album called Southern Gothic Romance, with music videos for each song. At the beginning of 2023, Jennings recorded the album a couple hours at a time between jobs, and only had 1,000 followers, but after she started releasing singles in anticipation of the release, her following grew to 58,000 in a matter of months.
The release helped Jennings reach the iconic circle at the Grand Ole Opry house as her single 10:43was awarded Song of the Year at the Josie Music Awards. She accepted the honor of Vocalist of the Year that same night.
Jennings has performed in incredible venues across the south east such as AJ’s Good Time Bar, The Velvet Underground at the Hard Rock Cafe, the Bijou Theater, Eddie’s Attic, Museum of Appalachia, Canyon Center Amphitheater, Rhea County Courthouse, and more. Jennings and her band headlined Pigs and Peaches on the Luzianne Tea main stage. She is excited to open for Pam Tillis in January. For her fans, her song 10:43 is a beloved song, and is quickly becoming a favorite amongst the radio stations that have added the song to airplay rotation. She recently released a music video filmed at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. The video has received three nominations for the JMAs this year. She has 10 nominations total for this year's event.
