**Haunted Like Human & Admiral Radio with special guest Andi Jaye live at Eddie's Attic!**
*Haunted Like Human*
Nashville duo Haunted Like Human delves into inspired songwriting, sparse arrangements, and frisson-inducing harmonies that mark their music. With a background in poetry and prose, Dale Chapman's granular focus on language is simpatico with Cody Clark’s background in classical guitar, where each note carries its own weight. Limned with nostalgia, soaked in Southern gothic lore, the duo meticulously assembles songs to preserve the spirit of the stories they tell.
*Admiral Radio*
Admiral Radio, the award-winning husband-and-wife folk duo of Coty Hoover and Becca Smith, returns to Eddie's Attic with Haunted Like Human. AR crafts a heartfelt performance through tight-knit harmonies and a palpable sincerity that makes you roll with laughter and shed a few tears. After opening up for acclaimed acts like bluegrass legend Del McCoury and recording with members of Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, this SC-based act is taking leaps of faith to share their songs and stories with listeners across the country. With recent first-place wins at the Tucson Folk Festival’s Songwriting Competition and the LEAF/NewSong Music Competition, and being named finalists in the legendary Kerrville New Folk Competition, International Songwriting Competition, and more, this duo is redefining what it means to gather ‘round the radio in modern times.
*Andi Jaye*
Andi Jaye was born with natural rhythm. Rocking back and forth to the sounds of music was a common sight to all who knew her. A gift of a harmony guitar at the age of 12 ignited her passion for music. Armed with a Mel Bay songbook, Andi in short order was playing the songs of her generation and writing songs for the next generation.
It’s the voice that captures you first: Clear, artful in its phrasing, tender and tough in its wisdom. Traveling on the road with girl bands in the 80’s held her to hone her skills and taught her how to be resilient in the music industry.
Her music communicates freely, heart to heart, spirit to spirit. Melodically resonant and rhythmically compelling, her songs - whether originals or covers, sound fresh and new, yet familiar.
No flash, no gimmicks, simply heartfelt. Andi sums it up: “There’s nothing in music I don’t want to do.” She says it in that voice, strong in face and conviction, and you believe her.
Presented by Eddie's Attic.
This is an all ages event.
