William Carney, known professionally as Carneyval, is an American music producer, songwriter, and DJ. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Carney attended Tulane University in New Orleans and moved to Los Angeles in 2016 after graduation.
His first single “It Ain’t Love” debuted at #1 on Spotify’s U.S. and Global Viral charts. Carney’s second single “Love & Emotion” featured Republic Records artist Hudson Thames. His most recent single "Jasmine" received praise from Billboard for its unique production style and accompanying music video.
Carney has performed shows alongside Illenium, Above & Beyond, Masego, and Big Gigantic to name a few.
He also co-wrote and provided additional production for the first two songs on Masego’s debut album.
Carney's online streams total over 17 million.
He's currently working with people such as MAX (Red Music/Sony), Hudson Thames (Republic), Stephen Puth (Arista/Sony), Lourdiz (RX), Kira Kosarin (Nickelodeon), Conor Matthews (Keith Urban/Warner Chappell), Kelsy Karter (Th3rd Brain), Armani White, Phil Good (Best Friends), Noelle Scaggs, Britten Newbill (BMG), Feli Ferraro (Arthouse/UMPG), Jackson Breit, and Victoria Zaro, among others.
While still studying in college, Carney also was included in the 2015 lineup for BUKU Music & Art Project in New Orleans, which featured other artists such as G-Eazy, Portugal. The Man, A$AP Rocky, Passion Pit, and Odesza.
