Description
Tbilisi’s legendary Bassiani joins with BASEMENT for a special takeover. Fadi Mohem returns to the club for another round. The Berlin artist knows his way around a looping hardware banger; he embraces the tight, infinitely mesmerizing sound of dubby techno and brings it into the modern era. There’s a cake-and-eat-it-too quality to his tracks, which offer plenty of forward momentum while crafting dimensional spaces that lead the audience into a state of hypnosis. Bassiani resident Kanceli goes b2b with none other than Philippa Pacho. Both artists edge into the danger zone, with a dirty, throbbing sound that mixes brooding intensity with unflinching livewire energy. This will be special. Fellow resident NDRX completes the night. His sets are always remarkable - expertly crafted and sculpted with immaculate grit, sensual power and a nervy attack.
NY hero Kim Ann Foxman headlines STUDIO. She’s an icon of the city’s nightlife, a proudly queer artist who first made waves as a member of Hercules and Love Affair’s landmark first lineup at the turn of the millennium. Since then, she’s unflinchingly pushed a solo career as a DJ and producer fusing the best elements of raw house. Squelchy 303 lines, punchy, dynamic grooves and a sensual vibe; let’s go. Matas meets her energy with a healthy dose of rolling bassweight and spacey, exploratory immaculateness. There’s a playful sensibility offsetting a deadly serious dedication. Sekucci goes for the jugular with carefully calibrated softness, opening tender portals to states of sensual liberation.
