Latin Quarter Acoustic 2024
Latin Quarter first burst onto the music scene in 1986 with their hit single ‘Radio Africa’. It was a track from their debut album “Modern Times’ which was described by the New York Daily news as ‘one of the most exquisite electro-rock albums ever to come out of England.’
Known for hard hitting, informed political lyrics and strong melodies, Latin Quarter went on to tour extensively and make 6 albums before splitting up in 1998. However in 2012 the band reformed and have since made 5 new studio albums and a live album ‘Remember - On Stage at the Half Moon’. In 2023 they celebrated the 40th anniversary of their inception with a 6 piece electric tour. For 2024 however, it will be stripped down to an acoustic 4-piece. Longstanding members Steve Skaith, Steve Jeffries and Mary Carewe are joined by cellist Anna Carewe to reimagine Latin Quarter songs from all across their many years as a band.
