The electronic music scene stands strong, oriented towards the augmentation of the city and its community. In an effort to draw liveliness and activity, Wonder Bakery will be hosting a mix series outside of its storefront every Friday from 5pm-9pm. A place to congregate and explore, the plaza is usually used as a venue for high-ticketed events. This will be a free event to the public! This is a great place to start your night with food, drinks and delights from the small businesses in and around the plaza. Bowie is the Owner and founder of the music label Trip City and production designer of Certified Groovers. She will be providing music for the night with a mix of disco, deep house, and lounge house NOTES: The plaza is a public place and the event is run affiliated with a small business. It is asked that the area be treated like a park and attendees are encouraged to be discreet. We ask that you hide your alcohol in flasks or mix them in other drink bottles, water bottles, etc. Smoking is allowed! but please be mindful and respectful of the space and throw butts in the trash Parking is limited, ubers are highly encouraged. The Chinatown A-line subway stop is steps away from the plaza and an ideal way to get there! The music will be outside and café seating will be inside and outside the bakery with benches and statues in the center of the plaza. Wonder Bakery is a family owned local bakery and cafe that was founded in the 1930s when the plaza was built. They sell traditional Chinese delights: fresh baked sweet buns, egg tarts, moon cakes, assortments of pies, almond cookies, and lots of cake options made fresh everyday in the bakery with simple ingredients and no preservatives. The cafe part of the bakery offers hot and cold coffee and expresso drinks as well as fresh juices, smoothies and boba drinks!
