About Goings
Website | Facebook | Instagram | (X) Twitter | YouTube | Spotify
When Chris Kearney opened up his grandmother’s dance studio after Christmas 2017 to a band of longtime friends, the rest of Goings linked up seamlessly. The Philly band’s debut, a self-titled EP that mapped out influences from Motion City Soundtrack to the Dismemberment Plan, dripped with vibrant synth and textbook-grade time signatures. With an added commitment to expanded dynamics, their debut LP 'It's For You' shows off the group’s complete calling card: one that desperately seeks true togetherness in times of technological oversaturation.
About Humilitarian
Website | Facebook | Instagram | (X)Twitter | Spotify
The five-piece rock group, borne out of dusty basement shows and independent venues of Philadelphia, came out screaming from the start with a sound drawn from jam-band psychedelia and crunchy alt-rock, laced with touches of funk, jazz, and indie rock. Following the release of their debut EP in February 2020, and a subsequent single in October 2020, Humilitarian has released their sophomore EP, titled Head in a Jar. Save for the title track, Head in a Jar was written and recorded in full during the pandemic, and touches on themes of frustration, listlessness, and longing felt by many during the challenging year.
