Mixing garage rock, disco, punk, new wave, and metal into cleverly dumb, in-your-face songs celebrating hedonism in multiple forms, Electric Six emerged from the same late-'90s/early-2000s Detroit garage-punk scene that produced the White Stripes and the Dirtbombs. They found international success through a relentless touring and recording schedule and an unerring commitment to their over-the-top style, delivering energy and absurdity in equal measure. After winning a local following as the Wildbunch, Electric Six scored a major hit in the U.K. in 2003 with the song "Danger! High Voltage," and their debut album Fire, released the same year, earned them a major cult following with tunes like "Dance Commander" and "Gay Bar." From that point on, musicians would come and go from the Electric Six lineup and the proportions of electronics to guitars would shift back and forth from album to album, but their essential formula of dance-friendly rock brimming with bombast and lunacy would never change. From 2005 onward, not a year would go by without a new E6 album and a string of shows in which Dick Valentine and co. would whip their fans into a frenzy. While the Covid-19 pandemic put them on pause for a while, 2021's covers set, Streets of Gold, put them back on their unstoppable schedule. The Surfrajettes are a four-piece instrumental combo from Toronto, ON, Canada. Since forming in late 2015, the band has charmed audiences with their clever mix of psychedelic rock and reverb-drenched surf music, sky-high beehives, go-go boots, and eyeliner as thick as their guitar strings. 
The band achieved viral online notoriety from their home-made performance videos and their feature by Norman’s Rare Guitars in LA. The debut 45 single “Party Line / Toxic” released late 2018 on Hi-Tide Recordings to immediate success. The band has toured extensively in its support, including performances on The Beach Boys Cruise, The Melissa Etheridge Cruise, at Nashville Boogie, Wild O Fest in Mexico City, The New England Shake-Up!, Surf Guitar 101 Convention, Tiki Oasis & Hi-Tide Summer Holiday: Asbury Park. 
The band released the follow up single “Hale’iwa Hustle / Banzai Pipeline” in 2020. 
Debut LP “Roller Fink” hits stores worldwide on April 22, 2022 from Hi-Tide Recordings / Virgin Music. The album will be available for purchase for the very first time following their performance at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend 25 car show. 
 The Surfrajettes are guitarists Shermy Freeman and Nicole Damoff, bassist Sarah Butler, and drummer Sam Maloney. When not on tour, the group is busy woodshedding in their secret beach hut, sewing new miniskirts, debating vintage gear, and daydreaming about performing in a Quentin Tarantino movie.
