Immerse yourself in a cosmic sound journey & water blessing by WHAIA - Maori Sonic Weaver of Aotearoa, New Zealand, in celebration of World Oceans Week.
Combining Taonga Puoro/Traditional First Nations Instruments and celestial vocals WHAIA blends frequencies of the Crystal Singing Bowls setting this sound journey apart from any other. With her instruments made of the natural living world she takes you deep into her own unique cradle of embedded healing phonics, balancing the heart, mind and soul.
A transcendent vocalist, alchemical global performer, First Nations multi-instrumentalist, designer and creative cultural producer makes this woman one powerhouse mama.
She speaks to our inner dreaming creating a sensual sonic space aimed at rest, rejuvenation and recalibration, deep diving into the subconscious body.
Join her as she calls to the elements of our world and beyond, taking you on a journey back to the beginning of creation in an experience that’s sure to shake loose your bones.
Come open your voice, your mind and your heart in this evening session.

May we embrace UNITY and remember we are one people, sharing this beautiful earth with many lifeforms.
⫸ A Ngati Kahungunu Maori woman born in New Zealand, WHAIA was raised in the outback dessert of Australia from the age of 6 by her Aboriginal grandmother. This mother of 3 is a true warrior woman on a mission to inspire. She has sung with Elders from all over the country and the world, into the walls of the great pyramids, to turning pods of whales with nothing but her voice. She is a shapeshifting goddess raising the voices of old into todays new world. A Whale woman and advocate for sacred waters, our oceans and to the healing of a woman’s voice through domestic and sexual abuse. Whaia is a bridge builder through her retreats Kurawaka Australia and mother to ‘The Mana Waka’, a 40ft travelling production studio. Performing at festivals for over 2 decades she now opens her doors welcoming others into her 'Sonic Weaver Sound Sanctuary' learning platform.
