Lost Sundays: it’s about movement. April 2 sees the return of trailblazing UK-talent Dance System to the Lost Sundays booth. James Connolly has been making records and moving dance floors for more than a decade. Throughout the 2010’s as L-Vis 1990, he pushed all manner of forward-thinking electronica and co-founded one of the UK’s most seminal dance labels in Night Slugs. Fast forward to the 2020’s and James has again found himself at the epicentre of UK rave culture as Dance System - his alias focussed on big, bold and banging club cuts that channel classic rave records with an overarching sense of fun. Boasting collaborations with Hudson Mohawke, I. JORDAN, A-Trak and UNIIQU3 - plus recent remixes for heavyweights Fatboy Slim and Groove Armada - one thing is certain: this man knows how to craft a satisfying thump. After helming one of our most memorable parties of 2022, it was only right we invited Dance System back to LS for a second helping this weekend. In support, we have two of Lost’s ever-reliable residents in Elijah Something and Troy Beman. Firmly established as one of Eora’s finest, Elijah launched into 2023 with a memorable NYE performance at Lost Paradise, founded his new ‘Something & Someone’ event series and hosted a packed all-night Conspiracy party (with his crew of the same name) at the Abercrombie Hotel. Not to be outdone, we welcome back Troy fresh from a peak time Mardi Gras performance at a sold out Hordern Pavillion amongst a dizzying run of shows that includes supporting the likes of DJ Assault, ABSOLUTE. and I.
