Description
Ready your body and mind for a heady foray into a delirious maelstrom of leftfield techno, chunky bass, and murky riddims with tonight’s pairing of London’s Re:ni and NYC’s Yumi. Hometown hero Yumi, on opening duties, may still be a relative newcomer but she has disrupted the scene with her intoxicating blends and firmly planted herself as one of this city’s rising stars behind the decks. She’ll set the stage with a set that promises big thrills and head-rattling dips and dives. Re:ni, who transplanted to London in 2010, cut her teeth on Bristol raves, where she traveled to from her hometown of Dorcester to see the likes of Skream, Benga and Andy C in her youth. When she landed in London she quickly immersed herself in the club scene and hasn’t looked back since. Her sets reflect her journey to this day pulling from her own parent’s musical histories, the garage and dnb of Bristol, and the kaleidoscopic palette of Lonon’s ever-shifting sound. Building up buzz with electric sets at parties like Whities, Make Me, Reef and space•lab, she’s established herself as the go-to for a slice of downward dub, deep techno and the punchiest of punchy breakbeats.
Limited tickets will be sold at the door.
