Description
A Delicate Balance is back for a second techno exploration at Bossa Nova Civic Club.
For our second club night we have the pleasure of having two local legends Anthony Parasole and Julia Govor.
As a prominent figure of the underground house and techno resurgence of NYC, Anthony Parasole should need no introduction to dancers both new and old to the New York dance music scene. Anthony’s sharp-witted selections won the ears of dancers right away, and he hasn’t let go since; gracing dancefloors both locally and abroad from Berghain, to Dekmantel Festival, to Output and Basement in NYC.
Anthony released many cutting-edge productions on various labels including his own: The Corner & Deconstruct, Marcel Dettmann’s techno imprint MDR, and eventually Ostgut Ton. He then made the progression to resident at Berghain where he began shaping his sound and technique, pushing his deep, raw, driving, rhythmic, percussive, and mesmerizing sound that club-goers have come to know and love.
Julia Govor is known as a techno producer with her own unique and incredibly innovative sounds. With a rare and mental sound, her productions are build to fill the mind. Her sets are dense and vivid while staying unpredictable and above all engaging. Julia herself is one of the most enthusiastic and charismatic people in the scene. Her fatally charming movements behind the booth blur the lines between the booth and dancefloor.
Julia is the founder and curator of JUJUKA with releases by many talented and respected producers worldwide including but not limited to: Ryan James Ford, WTCHCRFT, Rhys Jelson, and DJ Lily. She is also the co-founder of event series Radial that explores the intersection between live sonic art and electronic experimental music at the Fridman Gallery, and is a resident at The Lot Radio in NYC.
