Lyanno’s first two EPs—2016’s S.O.D.A. and 2017’s Am—established his style of mixing smooth R&B/soul ballads with Latin-trap production. His first commercial success came in 2018 when he appeared on the remix of Alex Rose’s hit “Toda,” whose official video has nearly 1 billion views. He was featured alongside fellow Puerto Rican urban singer Rauw Alejandro on Ozuna’s “Luz Apaga,” which rose to No. 26 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs in 2018. The EP Episodios showcased Lyanno’s vocals on both R&B and reggaetón songs and was named one of Vibe’s Best Latinx Albums of 2019. In 2019, his upbeat reggaetón single “Pa’ Que Vuelvas” was a Top 40 hit on Billboard’s Latin Pop chart.
