Bend&Shake is a queer party ran by women and non-binary People of Colour from Sister Shack CIC. EVERYONE is welcome, but this event aims to provide a safe space for women, non-binary people, trans women, trans men, asylum seekers and QIPOC. For our special "Rave Edition", we will be celebrating all this electronic with 8 DJs over two floors of World Headquarters. The first floor will be more of our usual mix of multi-genre with upstairs being dedicated to our interpretation of a rave vibe. Genres will include Techno, House, Drum & Bass, Garage, Bassline, Amapiano, Hardcore, Trance, Soul, Funk, Disco, Pop and loads more. We hope Bend&Shake will offer you an alternative to the Newcastle scene, which we feel misses out on representing marginalised communities. As usual, we will provide music that doesn't just stick to the idea of what "queer culture" is. Concessions for income and asylum seekers only.
