Description
Songs of the Decades is a concept show put together by some of LA’s most prominent Filipino artists. This event is a collaboration of The Rockstars Foundation and Starlink Media and features a long list of talent performing some of their favorite songs from multiple genres.
Malou Toler
Born in the Philippines, Malou’s talent as a musician quickly took her around the world. Her international allure has gained her fans in multiple countries. She now resides in Los Angeles and enjoys the spotlight as a successful singer and songwriter and regularly performs at many of the local clubs and venues. She is passionate and energetic, and uses this energy to connect with her audience and draw them into the emotion of each song. Her love for children and family has motivated her to create Rockstars Foundation, which helps children from around the world
Garth Garcia
Garth Garcia Known as the FILAM’s Prince of Pop, Garth is a decorated Recording Artist, Record Producer & Songwriter with who has collected an impressive array of awards and accolades including 75 most influential Filipinos in America and The Outstanding Filipinos in America.
Jane Provido
Jane Provido started her hosting and singing stint at restaurants in LA in 2005 and joined the Next to you, and is now known as “Optimum Groove” band in 2006. She was also the Grand Champion of the Pinoy Pop Star Talent of North America in 2007 produced by GMA 7. Because of her passion and dedication to the FilAm music industry, she was awarded the Best Female Vocalist, Best Dance Band, The Best Show Band, The Best Female Pop Singer, the Best International Performer, etc. Jane, an Accounting Major Graduate, works as a purchasing manager, and the e-commerce seller, and is blessed with a son with autism.
Czarina
Czarina Umali is an upcoming performer in the Filipino American community. From being a stay at home Mom of three, she has now performed on various stages in Los Angeles, after becoming a finalist for Discovery Philippines 2022 last June. Although she has only been performing in front of a big audience in less than a year, she has been singing for churches since she was a little girl, as young as 3 years old. Czarina’s family are founders of another non-profit organization (CCMP: California Christian Mission to the Philippines) and her love for children and charity is what brings her here at the iconic Troubadour.
Tina Cruz
Tina Cruz started singing professionally and has toured with different bands in Asia and the Middle East since age 18. She migrated to Vancouver Canada in the late 90’s and began to establish herself as a Lead Vocalist, performing with mainstream Musicians in various venues all over Vancouver, British Columbia and other cities in Canada. She became a regular Back up Singer of Ms Joey Albert one of the most successful Filipina Recording Artist in her concerts all over the US and Canada for many years . Currently residing in LA, Tina continues to perform as a Lead Vocalist in Top 40 Bands. She has also performed and toured with some of the Top Filipino Recording stars like Joey Albert, Martin Nievera, Jed Madela, Jaya, Ivy Violan, Geneva Cruz, Ariel Rivera, Erik Santos, Dingdong Avanzado and many others.
Kevin Hermogenes
Singer- songwriter, Tagged as “Soul Balladeer” under Star link Music, was born in the Philippines and started his singing career after he won medals from the Annual Talent Olympic WCOPA ( World Championships of the Performing Arts) on 2016. Became Finalist in Idol Ph (2019). On 2020 he won WCOPA Virtual and become semi finalists and won Silver medal. Because of his undeniable singing prowess, Kevin was recognized by Gawad Amerika as the “Best male soul singer of the Year 2022”, after he won as Grand Champion for Discovery Philippines 2022 and will represent again the Philippines this year May 2023 in Bulgaria for Discovery International.
ReinRein is an LA County-based singer songwriter. With her background in gospel,pop and broadway theater (Disney, Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Cats, Grease and Jesus Christ Superstar to name a few), she also dabbles in multiple genres such as soul, funk, blues and R&B bringing her self-named band (Re!N) to local bars, restaurants, productions and private events in and around LA.
