As an island girl, as soon as she graduated high school she wanted to see the world, so she moved to California, Jamaica, London, and then back to the states. She attributes living in different places to her world sound in her music, along with her ancestral and cultural personal “her”story. Irie Love has spent most of her life as a recording artist, touring all over the world. Fitness has also been a big part of her life. Growing up, she competed in canoe paddling, track & field, soccer, basketball, volleyball and football. After singing full time for 20 years, Irie experienced a life changing personal tragedy, so she decided to step away from her successful career in music and focus on healing her heart and tapping into her other passion, wellness. Irie Love became a certified indoor cycling instructor and trainer, teaching in her home town at Ride Kailua. She then moved to Portland to work as a spin instructor. In 2018, she continued her fitness journey moving to Seattle and becoming a certified yoga teacher. In 2021, now a certified personal trainer, youth mindfulness coach, yoga teacher, sound bath curator, spin instructor and podcast host, Irie decided she was ready to revive her musical journey, creating, recording and performing again after her 5 year hiatus. Another major passion of Irie’s is charity work. She’s volunteered with several charities throughout her life such as the Boys & Girls Club, Mana Mele, the Mana Maoli collective, Habitat for Humanity, Space Between, Future.For.Us, Chances for Children and Neko Cat Cafe. Now combining her love of music, charity and wellness she brings empowering art and curations to the world with new music and a biographic self-help book to be released in early 2023.
