Description
Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Jermaine Holmes began embarking on his musical career at the age of four as a member of his grandfather’s choir of Mount Calvary Baptist church. Being molded as a serious artist by older relatives who played in bands with popular music acts such as TLC, Tony! Toni! Tone! and Janet Jackson helped groom Holmes into becoming a more crafted performer. It was also under the influence and teachings of relative Stephen T. Bellamy that he was sculpted into a better audio engineer, vocalist, and keyboard player.
Jermaine performs as lead singer for Pete Rock and The Soul Brothers, and appears alongside artists like Nicole Bus, Keyon Harrold and many others on albums and stages around the world. Previously he had become an active member of the group The Vanguard since 2012 with popular R&B/Soul artist D’Angelo. The Vanguard toured successfully worldwide with little media promotion – success stemming predominantly from the fan base. A comeback tour titled “The Second Coming” followed in the same manner with show dates in New York all the way to The Netherlands. Jermaine Holmes can proudly say he is a part of the now 2x Grammy award winners, The Vanguard, who won for Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
Jermaine debuted his first album Stronger Than My Fears in December 2019 and is about to embark on his own musical journey to share this project with audiences around the world.
