Description
Alienata (Discos Atónicos / Killekill / Cultivated Electronics, BLN)
Electro / Synth / Techno
Born in Spain and based in Berlin, Alienata describes herself as a sound obsessive whose sets encompass dark electro, ACID, dub, IDM, dark disco, jakbeat, hypnotic techno, industrial atmospheres, break beat, cosmic jazz, UK electro, Detroit and Chicago influences, and strange sounds in general. A former philosophy student with a particular interest in mysticism, Alienata started DJing in 2004. In collaboration with the Overflow collective in Valencia, she not only served as resident DJ, but also participated in music technology and theater workshops, and was in charge of the label’s musical direction. Her first contact with the German music scene was through the Homo Elektrik collective in Leipzig, and upon moving to Berlin at the end of 2011, she immediately made a place for herself in her adopted family of the Killekill label and the Krake festival. This relationship helped her become a respected mainstay of clubs in Berlin and throughout Germany and Europe, and her international profile expands year after year: New York, Chicago, Sydney, Melbourne, Bogota, Moscow. Recently we have been able to enjoy his genuine style in the booths of places like Fabric, Panorama Bar or ADE. When he takes to the decks, Alienata tunes his internal and external influences, trying to provide the audience with an extraordinary and energetic experience. No wonder legends like Dave Clarke (with whom he recently did a back to back at ADE), DJ Stingray, Ben Sims or Ron Morelli have expressed their respect and support.
With all that knowledge and his love for music, in 2017 he decided to launch his own label, Atonic Records, where he can materialize all his diverse influences, counting on legendary artists such as Beta Evers, Dez Williams, Artificiero, BS-1 or Cosmic Force.
Although his main activity is DJing, Alienata has released several references and remixes, and has collaborations with artists such as Snuffo (from the jacking label Snuff Crew) and Sync24, director of the legendary UK electro label Cultivated Electronics. His most recent contribution has been on the great Ben Sims’ Tribology compilation, featuring artists such as Robert Hood, James Ruskin or Mark Broom.
