Inviting multifaceted artists to try new things in the Sound Room. For this edition, she welcome’s Mexico City’s Tristan Arp to open the night with a solo live set — an elastic adaptation of forthcoming work with on-the-spot productions uniquely considered for the space, blending hand-drummed percussion, sonic collages, ephemeral freakouts and off-the-cuff permutations. NYC’s secret weapon, Kellen303, steps up to premiere his 12” collaboration with Arp on the night of its release [limited copies available in person for the early birds]. Boo Lean turns it up and brews up the body heat with some freaky drum play, vocal twists, & dubby undertones. Getting our fire fully stoked is Lisbon’s Violet. The Naive label-boss makes her long-awaited US return to meld breaks, extraterrestrial jacking rhythms & more…we love to hear it. Limited tickets will be sold at the door.
